Finally, after years waiting, we can now expect a very anticipated third season from Seth Macfarlane tribute for “Star Trek” to air on our screen on March 10, 2022, exclusively on Hulu as a weekly series. Sci-Fi lovers are having a great week after it was also announced that Babylon 5 is getting a reboot.
To make an announcement, Hulu dropped a short teaser online which did not show new scenes, but indeed reminded us of the events that occurred at the end of season 2, which ended way back in April 2019 – if you remember there was tomfoolery travel, Escapades Alt-Universe and Kaylon’s army to deal with.
All players arranged to return with Macfarlane as Captain Ed Mercer, Adrianne Palicki (CMDR. Kelly Grayson), Penny Johnson (Dr. Claire Finn), Scott Grimes (Lieutenant Gordon Malloy), Peter Macon (Lt. cmdr. Bortus)) J. Lee (Lt. cmdr. John Lamarr) Mark Jackson (Isaac), Jessica Szohr (Lieutenant Talla Keyali) and Norm Macdonald, who voiced Yaphet.
The second season showed us that the sci-fi show was far more than just respect for “Star Trek,” handling some entertaining ideas, such as Holodeck addiction and showing some serious dark moments. Don’t let us forget, “The Orville” gave us one of the most spectacular room battles ever seen on the screen.
Hulu The show was initially aired on Fox but would move to Hulu next season as a result of the purchase of the 20th century Disney Fox in 2019. Disney has both Fox properties including “The Orville” and Hulu , so it makes sense that popular shows like this will move to streaming service. There has been no official confirmation, but IMDB included 11 episodes for the third season.
Season 1 and 2 of “Orville” can be watched on request on Hulu.com and streaming devices in the US. They are also available for purchased on DVD and the season passes can also be purchased from Amazon.
