Firefox, Chrome, OpenOffice, Linux, and Android are some popular examples of open-source software, while Microsoft Windows is probably the most popular piece of closed-source software out there.

Windows is a proprietary software, Microsoft corporation hold all the rights to their software and they don’t allow others to alter or to tamper them.

Windows isn’t open source. But the good thing is windows 11 provides free upgrade for previous windows 10 users. This move is appreciated by all.
