I know the pandemic has been an issue for the computer industry and tech industry as a whole, as chips and parts are less and less due to the fact that the pandemic closed a lot of stuff. Things should be sorting it out soon here, but I don’t know when things and prices will go back to normal. I hope soon though. I need to upgrade my PC soon.

Production of Computer Industry is badly hit by this pandemic, because of the travel restrictions and restrictions of work force in factories and in companies. But they have made a =quick come back and the productions are now in full swing. The Shortage of Chips are now due to the increase in demand, rather than shortage of production. Which is good for the industry. This situation would ease in two to three months time.

Yes prices are so high now. And everything is in demand now. Manufacturing and transportation restrictions were there but it has resumed and we can expect everything to be normal in coming months.

As with all the industries, pandemic have severely affected production of computer peripherals and spares. Ironically, work/learn from home had put a great demand and pressure on computer industry. Fortunately, IT industry were among the first to slowly get back to normal. Transportation, import of essential spares, were all affected due to travel restrictions which indirectly pushed up the demand and price at the same time. Things are limping back to normal inspite of threat of third wave. So hopefully there shouldn’t be much of a problem getting spares. Prices have fallen due to increase in supply, which is a good indication for things to come.

Sure. Since the pandemic hit, there has been a great drop in the number of PC parts being developed. I guess this can be attributed to the reduced fights and intercontinental trade all over the world.

Sure, but since the effects of the pandemic are slowly reducing. More parts are being produced now. Although not at the speed at which they were produced sometime back. There is a significant drop in their supply all over the world.

Since the pandemic hit early last year, the supply of PC parts has never matched the demand. And this has been the trend all over the world. There is need for more companies to get into the development of parts.

of course the prices of PC parts got double and even triple in my country and it is because of shortage.

Pandemic has hit all industries. Production of computer parts has been stalled. Because of the second wave, the prices have increased so much.

Not only the Pandemic have stalled the computer spares production. It has delayed the launch of many new product line ups. The manufactures are hesitant to launch their new products now due to high cost of computer spares. So, most of us are stuck with Laptops and Pc with previous year technologies and configurations.

I think Covid-19 have forced majority to work from home which have increased the demand of PC and accessories resulting in shortage.

Well that does not happen often. Once prices rise, they remain so.

The Most hit by these part shortages are Laptops and Pre-built PC. Manufacturers are finding it hard to build PC with increased parts cost.
