Nowadays everything is connected by the internet, think what will happen if all the things connected by the internet start talking to each other. They will make the decision on their own without human intervention.

For example, consider your AC will automatically be switched ON when you leave your office and make your room cool when you reach Home. Isn’t it interesting?

I wonder How safe it would be. These all seems to be good but only after we experience it, we would know the pros and cons of it.

IOT things are the latest in the market, even from lights, to AC everything is now connected to the internet. They tag these devices as IOT devices or Smart Devices. It’s really a cool concept, you can turn ON or OFF you lights even when you aren’t home, with the help of CCTV cameras could monitor your home when you are away from them. A friend of mine has connected his vacuum cleaner to internet and would run his vacuum before he starts from his office, so that his house would be clean before he gets home. IOT can make life easier. But there is a concern about privacy, have to see how these entire technology unfolds.

After Alexa walking in houses and following orders, this kind of innovation is not that far.

IOT has made our life easier. But it’s very risky at the same time. In the future hackers could hack into our house through these devices and can steal our data and information. Since, most of the devices run old firmware and aren’t updated regularly, they act as a week link where hackers could enter.
