    It depends upon your website,

    1. Is it for promoting your business or product.

    2. Do you want to run a forum

    3. Do you want to run a website for closed group.

depending upon your idea and requirements, select an website in that category and try to implement those concepts in your website and gradually develop your website from there.

Firebase is great for hosting sites, even if you don’t use the free storage/auth/database.

I vote bitballoon. You literally just drag and drop. Rename your HTML index.html and your CSS style.css.

Sure but configuring a vps for hosting a static website seems very overkill, maybe in the good old days when low end shared hosting was the alternative it was worth it for the performance.

But nowadays with all the cheap and screaming fast solutions for static sites, it’s just an uncessesary chore to manage a vps for a basic website.

Did you mange digital ocean host ?

I manage a Digital Ocean vps myself for dynamic apps, but for static sites i prefer to just deploy and forget to Firebase and similar services
