My last car had a GPS that was built into the car. These days GPS in cars isn’t really needed, as you can do it all with your phone. Who here still uses GPS systems in their cars yet? I think they’re better than phones, mainly because you can have your phone free to do whatever you want.

Who here still uses GPS in their car?

I still trust my vehicle’s GPS especially when traveling to remote areas where cellular coverage is unavailable. Dedicated car GPS can be relied upon in such situations. You can use your phone to better use rather than draining the phone battery by using GPS while on a long drive. One most important benefit I believe is in tracking and securing your car in case it gets stolen by accurately locating it. So yes, I still use my car GPS.

Iam vey comfortable with my phone, at first I used two to three times but after that I use my phone for navigation. But yeah, battery gets drained in phone and it gets interrupted while attending call as well.

I Own a Tesla, so am basically connected to the internet all the time. The GPS in Tesla is outstanding, it regularly gets updated and provides real time traffic updates. It’s also cool to view the map in the car’s Big Dash Screen.

Yes I use GPS in my car. It is very convenient for me and until now, it’s working fine and I can totally rely on it. Why do you need a phone when we have GPS in cars.

I prefer using my phone instead of a gps. It’s more convenient.

When I compare my Car’s inbuilt GPS and my Phone’s GPS. I feel that my phone has much updated and reliable maps. So, I started to use my mobile GPS, but I would connect it with my car’s dash so that the map would be displayed in the car’s dash and can hear directions from my car’s speaker.

I use my phone as it is more convenient and I am aware of my location even if I am not travelling in my car.

Mobile Maps are much reliable than the apps provided by the car manufacturer. As the mobile apps are frequently updated and provides the best possible solution, instead of taking the car to servicing center to upgrade the cars stock navigation system.
