What are some good opensource video editors? I’ve been wanting to edit more videos these days, and wanted to use a free and open source one if possible. Do you guys know of any good ones for free? Or should I pay to get the best options out there?

One I have used myself is Openshot video editor. It’s not the greatest, but it gets the job done for easy edits.

But, if you want more, you can get the free version of Davinci Resolve. I use that these days and you can get a lot with the free version. I suggest buying the full program though, cause you’ll get more out of it.

You can try Shotcut, it’s an open source software and has many good features.

I feel Kdenlive is the best open-source video editing software. It is not the most beginner-friendly option but once when you get into the swing on things, you would feel great working on it.

Avidemux is a open source video editor. It’s a basic video editing software, but is constantly improved by feedback.
